Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1: Open the door fully to 90 degrees.
Step 2: Locate the factory door light socket at the lower inside edge of the door panel.

The Audi door lights will turn off every time you close the door. There is no manual off switch on standard models. Also, you cannot disable door lights forever by MMI or Audi Connect menu option. If you want to disable the light for a short time without removing it, you can pull the socket out of the door panel. In this way, the light will not light up until you push back the socket.
